Paradiso Lost

According to Google Street View, this place looks like it used to be a car dealership, and the letters up there once said Harry Marx. These days, the lot is empty, and the walls can barely remember what they had to say.

East Pacheco Blvd (Rt. 152) in Los Banos, CA. Across the street from the excellent little donut shop Donut Nation.

In the window of a record store in Santa Cruz, CA. Presumably, someone there has a thing for Nana Mouskouri.

It looks like someone changed his or her mind in a hurry. In Petaluma, where much of American Graffiti was filmed.

Our headboard in the Wild West room at the Rose Cottage in Coulterville, CA, close to Yosemite National Park.

The owl is a reprint of a Halloween decoration from the 1940s, purchased at a great vintage and eclectica store in Petaluma. Taken on the patio of our room in Sonoma.

Great photos! Looks like you had a fun trip. I used to live up in San Francisco, so I enjoyed seeing all your mural photos. It was also a kick to see you stuck a couple from Hollister, where I how call home. Hope you had a chance to see some of the others in town.
